Changes within the SKEMA Publika Think Tank

Changes within the SKEMA Publika Think Tank

Claude et Frédérique

Departure of Claude Revel

In February 2022, SKEMA Business School announced the creation of the SKEMA Publika Think Tank to contribute to public debate and provide valuable insights to policymakers in France and beyond. Claude Revel, who has been leading the think tank since its creation, has decided to step down from her role as Director of development.

Nearly three years have passed since SKEMA Publika’s inception, during which time we have produced numerous analyses and hosted events addressing critical social, political, and governance issues. These have included topics such as the concerns of international youththe future of sports, geopolitics, the digital transition, and artificial intelligence, among others. Under the guidance of Claude Revel, a distinguished former senior civil servant, SKEMA Publika has developed a unique capacity for international thought leadership. It has established a hybrid approach to information processing that combines human expertise with digital intelligence. While the Think Tank’s mission and vision remain steadfast, its leadership is evolving. Claude Revel has decided to step down to focus on other professional commitments.

Arrival of Frédérique Vidal

We are pleased to announce that Frederique Vidal, currently an advisor to the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), will take over. The former French Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation will assume her role on a fully voluntary basis. She will continue to receive support from Sean Scull, who joined SKEMA in February 2024 as Project Officer for the Think Tank.

This transition, already underway, will be formalized on January 1st, 2025. Ahead of this date, both Claude and Frederique wish to share the following words with our readers :

“It has been a great pleasure to create and launch the SKEMA Publika Think Tank. I would like to thank Alice Guilhon and SKEMA’s leadership for their trust and support in this endeavor. I also extend my gratitude to all my colleagues at the School—staff, faculty, and project managers—who have contributed to this initiative. Together, we have delivered high-quality outputs that are well-regarded externally, positioning us to gain recognition within policymaking circles. I am confident that Frederique Vidal will successfully continue to develop this important work.” said Claude Revel.

“I am delighted to contribute to the evolution of this unique initiative within the higher education sector. My recent experience as Minister will allow me to actively engage in public debates on a subject I deeply value—higher education and its future challenges.” added Frederique Vidal.
