Frédérique Vidal
Director of Development
Frédérique Vidal is Director of Development at SKEMA Publika and Director of Strategy and Scientific Impact at SKEMA Business School. A full professor of Biology, she was president of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis from 2012 to 2017, and subsequently served as minister of higher education, research and innovation in the Philippe and Castex governments from 2017 to 2022. She served as special advisor to the President of EFMD and is currently also the Permanent Representative of the Principality of Monaco to the United Nations Environment Programme and the Whaling Commission.
Sylvie Matelly
Economist and Associate Professor in Geoeconomics at the Centre for Global Risks, SKEMA Business School
Sylvie Matelly is an Economist and Associate Professor in Geoeconomics at the Centre for Global Risks at SKEMA Business School. In 2001, she joined the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs (IRIS) as a researcher specializing in defence economics. She became Director of Research in 2008 and Deputy Director of IRIS in 2016. From 2023 to August 2026, she served as Director of the Jacques Delors Institute (Paris).
Sean Scull
Project Officer
Sean Scull, Think Tank Project Manager, is a doctoral candidate in Information and Communication Science at Université Paul Valéry – Montpellier III. He holds a degree in Political Science with a specialisation in International Relations from the University of Gothenburg, and a Master’s degree in International Politics with a focus on Anglophone politics from the University of Toulon. Sean has lived and worked in Sweden and the United States.
Ruxandra Radu
Research and Communications Intern
Ruxandra Radu is a Research and Communications Intern at SKEMA Publika and a second-year master’s student at Sciences Po, in the International Development programme. Ruxandra holds a degree in Economics with a specialisation in International Business and Economics from The Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She also completed a one-year exchange at IÉSEG School of Management during her bachelor’s degree. She is passionate about literature, research, and economics, and writes articles on Substack on a range of topics.
