Paul Janin

Senior Army Officer

Paul Janin is a senior officer in the French Army, specialising in cognitive science, influence and cognitive warfare. Appointed by the Higher Military Scientific and Technical Education Directorate to conduct an analysis of the scientific, academic and institutional ecosystem working on these issues, he has undertaken immersive research, analysis and dialogue with the leading institutions in the field. In particular, he undertook an immersion programme at CEA Paris-Saclay and liaised with scientists working on AID/DGA funding programmes dedicated to cognitive warfare and influence. He has published in several journals, including Revue Défense Nationale, Polytechnique Insights and ISTE OpenScience.
